| That article is not amazingly well worded. Think it's trying to say that Johnno marks Rix's first signing as manager of Hearts, and that it has taken 6 weeks to find a suitable first signing. Don't think it's trying to say that they've been sorting things out with Johnno for 6 weeks. |

| Jonno says in his interview that he [or his agent] found a loophole in FA regs and it started on 1st January, that's unless I misunderstand his comments. |

I'm unsure on that one, it is certainly written as if we've been in discussions with him for 6 weeks - Rix did say on SS1 something about he was alerted a month ago to the fact LJ's contract was up in the summer and immediately wanted him.
Hearts have been trying to get so many players though it might well have been referring to dealings in general. Believe it or not a few days before the Johnson transfer our owner enquired about Liverpools SISSOKO for a rumoured £5million! |

I've re-read the article and it's very miss leading it could be taken several ways.
Having said all that I still think £ 50k is a joke I just hope that there is a big sell on clause and "kick ins" for appearances for club and Country. |

The Club said openly that the FAX offer arrived on New Year's Eve and that Lee knew about it before the Bristol game. Also means GJ was on hand to offer him his thoughts on how to handle it as his Dad stayed the night at Lee's house.
So its been 12 days not 6 weeks. |
