As they have both gone for about the same money, who was the better deal ? personally I would say the loss of LJ is hard to take at the moment, however I don't think we have ever replaced the SP.
Who was the better deal ? |

LJ is a much harder player to replace than McIndoe. He is the man that often starts moves off and put in that killer pass. Add his engine and the ability to tackle well, and you get the picture.
McIndoe was never as consitent as Johnson. Brilliant on his day; he could also be very quiet.
As for the fee - yes, Johnson was nearing the end of his contract, but given that we are now 1 or 2 (depending on your point of view) leagues higher, and Johno's quality - this was the poorer deal.
Mind you, if McIndoe is sold for a significant fee, that'd help, and we don't know whether the club inserted any clauses into the Johno deal. I hope that if there are clauses in place, the club will make fans aware of the details. |

| I am of the opinion that we are better to be rid of the SP as I think he would have done damage in the dressing room if he had stayed. The SP is an individual and LJ is a true team player! |

Jonno will be MUCH harder to replace than the SP. I have to say that, even though Jonno was out of contract at the end of season, Mr Webb needs a rocket up his backside to allow that sort of fee.
I hope there is a massive sell on/appearance clause on the deal. The wording of the OS I take as a straight fee. |

| Perhaps at the next meet the manager / chairman / chief executive, someone needs to ask whether the deal was 50k straight or not. |

| Looks like a case of giving the family jewels away on the cheap, surely we are not that desperate or hard up for money. A class players grossly undervalued regardless of contract situation. |
