Just had a phone call from a BITP (bloke in the pub) who says we have been discussing a deal with a well known (relatively) midfielder with a view to a move. apparently, it's a fairly well known player, but he couldn't give me a name.

Does this signal a shift in the selling pattern - perhaps ES was moved on for a reason and the cash from the LJ sale has allowed us to make a formal bid ? I have no more info, however if it become available, I'll et you have it !!

bloke in the pub bit made m elaugh i would have been hours working out what BITP meant :lol:

i think that we will get some players in its just a case of who but then who had heard of cohen before he joined on loan?

however experience would be nice 8)

i like it when we linked with players so who is it?

i guessing magilton as wasn't he linked with rovers in the summer as a manager sort of blole :?

A bit of experience would be needed IMO. It's all very well having cast offs etc. but, the odd wise head is nice.

BITP reckons it's true, howevr couldn't give me a name - having spoken to him again, he thinks it's a left sided midfielder - however he's not at liberty to divulge any more - perhaps give us the option to free up DP to replace Gally on the right ?

I think with the likes of Skivo, Jevo, Way and Jones, Yeovil are not too bad for experience. Yeovil have done well (despite the poor fee for Johno) out of developing young players, and I think that this should continue.

'Well-known' does make you think experienced though.

I reckon that the BITP has clearly got inside information...it's obvious that he is in the know about Matt Jansen's impending arrival here.

Whilst I was having my hair cut today, my hairdresser Fi-Fi told me that she had heard from her brothers mistress, who also happens to have a lesbian lover... who has a vegetarian cousin... who goes to the gym with Zara Phillips...who knows the Queen (obviously...she is her grandmother)...who knighted Sir Bobby Robson...who knows Graeme Souness...who manages Matt Jansen...who has said in absolute confidence that he wants to come to Yeovil...

...because once he heard that Dave Webb was here, there was no where else for him as all footballers in England respect Dave and admire his ability to turn any object (inanimate or otherwise) into cash as if he were a modern day midas.

31st Jan. so only another 3 weeks of all these rumours etc. to suffer. Then a week's breather and all he end of season rumours will start... its the only way they sell newspapers...
