Saw on Sky Sports News this morning that the side who held the mighty Mancherster United to a draw in the FA Cup at the weekend were hammered 4-1 by Stourbridge of The Midland Alliance League.
Burton were 3 goals down by half time and by the time they got one back their opponents were FOUR to the good. What a way to get taken right back down to earth eh?
Leads me to wonder how on EARTH they managed to match United for 90 minutes!? |

I have often felt that the Premiership is over-rated. |

These type of FA Cup results are usually a combination of three things. The "big" club having an attitude of that they just have to turn up to win, the "minnow" turning up and playing out of their skins and, finally, luck.
99 times out of a hundred, the big club will win out. Fait play to Burton, a great result in their history. The finances from an Ol Trafford replay will set them up soundly for several years.
The result at stourbridge was probably a release of the mental exertion in playing Utd. There would be a roll on Physical effect of that as well. |

I don't think Cloughie was that bothered about it really, he only played 3 of the team that played against Man Utd.
They've got arguably their best player back from injury hoping to play in the replay, and Rooney is now suspended so you never know... ;-) |
