So Leon Knight made a decent start to his Swansea career, to say the least! A hat-trick in less than half an hour!
I know they were playing MK Dons who are struggling a bit on the league this year but he couldn't have made a better start.
I haven't seen the goals yet but feel the lad could take the league by storm and bang in a real hatful of goals.
Anyone see his goals from last night? |

Surely, scoring 4 goals would have been a better start ;)
Swansea are probably a better team than Brighton and may well swap divisions at the end of the season. How much of Swansea's success is down to the new ground generously paid for by the tax payer I do not know.
Good luck to 'em but shouldn't they be playing in the Welsh League?
:)

Yeah I think it's strange the likes of Cardiff and Swansea get to play in the Coca-Cola Leagues, although isn't there a debate as to whether they would be allowed to play in the EPL as that is actually classed as "the" english league? Still it gives the Old Firm a scrap of hope that they can move to England, although I doubt they could make it in the Premiership - maybe you'll soon see another team in green and white hoops in League 1
As for debut's Leicester City's match winner against Tottenham Mark De Vries made an amzing first start and home debut for Hearts. We were playing city rivals Hibs in the edinburgh derby and De Vries scored FOUR GOALS in an epic 5-1 victory. Now I know Robbie Fowler scored 5 on his Liverpool debut in the League Cup against Fulham but this was in the league against our bitter rivals. :P |

The Old Firm acknowledged before Christmas that their idea of being allowed into the English Premiership was a not likely to happen.
I think the penny also dropped that the 2 Clubs probably would not get into Europe every season and revenue and the quality of players they could attract would be affected. I suspect many of the European players currently on their books would have looked to join Clubs that were more likely to play in Europe, too which would have made the transition a nightmare. |
