I am going to be buying a lcd tv, and want to mount it to the wall. Does anyone know how I could put the VCR/DVD player etc in a cupboard (under the stairs) and still get them to work on the tv without loads of wires running round the house?
Is there such a thing similar to Wi-fi but for DVD-TV?
Tried asking up currys but after eventually finding a member of staff, they thought it would be possible but didn't know how  |

There's a few ways of doing this.
You could get a video sender, I think Argos do these. However, I'm not sure of the legality of these. Plus one of the issues is how to control the video/dvd.
Do you use the video to view prerecorded tapes or a programme you couldn't watch at the time and then tape over it a few days later? You may want to consider a Media Center PC. They are available in many different shapes and sizes and may be a possible solution. It works in a very similar way to Sky+ and also allows you to watch DVDs etc. Plus, if your new LCD TV has a DVI (digital) input it should support this. |
