Rotherham are close to going bust.

If my calculations are correct then the league table will look like this if they go out of business and all results against them are voided.

There is still the possibility of administration. I understand they are docked 8 points if this happens. Unless the rules have changed again.
If the situation is as quoted on the report, then Rotherham are trading insolvently. Therefore, the administrators/receivers must be called in now as it is illegal for the current board to carry on trading.
Although it is sad news, it is good to see that one of the relegation places is already booked. That just needs 3 other places to fill - hopefully we'll help McDonalds fill one of them on Tuesday. |

Oh dear!
It would be sad for any club to go under and although not good for us have we not heard this before? Wrexham, Swindon all fight against debts and restructure for instance? Excuse my ignorance but why can they not go into administration and take the points deduction? Most of their debts would be sorted would they not?
I can only remember a couple of teams, off the top of my head Aldershot and Newport County that have gone to the wall! |

| According to their chairman administration is not an option. |

Which would indicate that they are trading insolvently. If the DTI get a sniff of this, they'll be immediately shut down and the directors would be facing criminal charges.
If they suspect there is a possibility of turning things around, then administration is the only option. It's designed to protect the club from any wind-up petitions. If they really are in that much of a mess and don't think administration would solve it, the club needs to close now.
I would suspect the club still have some way to go before it gets to that point, and the publicity surrounding this is designed to get the Rotherham supporters to fill their stands.
Looks like there could be some interesting approaches for players shortly. Anyone looking good to us? |

| Rotherham haven't had it easy lately, they've been knocked out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle in the last two seasons and one was to us losing 3-0 so they haven't had a decent cup run, also getting relegated and possibly getting relegated again in consecutive seasons won't do the club any good. The thing that angers me is you can these fans who watch clubs when they're doing well and don't go when they're doing badly and I bet some Rotherham fans who watched their club in the Championship aren't doing anymore because of the way they are. I urge every Rotherham fan to get behind the club and money, time, whereabouts (not in hospital etc) and distance aren't a problem to go cheering on the Millers. |
