| Don't know anything about him but he was released by Weymouth, if that gives you an idea of his talent. |

Sounds like a ready-made replacement for Lee Johnson then!
Any news on whether Chris Cohen (who has been fantastic since he has arrived) is being allowed to stay till the end of the season? |

| Judging by the club's he's played for, the club he was the most successful at was Cambridge United. Hence his standard is probably bottom half of L2 or top half of the Conference. Hence unless there are a lot of clubs out there seriously misjudging him, he's not what we are after. |

| So is this a sign of things to come? sell all of our decent players and bring in cheap ones who are not up to standard, Come on Mr Webb its time to put your hand in your pocket. |

Or Webb might be using his influence to let the lad keep in shape training-wise until he can find himself a club.
Personally I'm more cynical but it's a possibility. |

I share your cynicism. This proves what type of character Webb is IMO.
If he wanted to use his influence to keep his son in shape, I'm sure he could have called in a favour at a smaller club where his son's 'skills' could have been put to use. |

On the other hand, we only got Lee Johnson cos of his dad
Yeah, still not convincing myself that Webb isn't going to take the club back where we started from (if not worse) :( |

Just to play devil's advocate, Kirk Jackson and Roy O'Brien trained with us full time whilst playing for the Scummers before they went full time. This was in fact GJ doing a favour for his brother Steve.
There's no harm in doing that as a general rule of thumb - and in fact Daniel Webb has trained with us before - just as long as the terms on which it is being done are clearly stated between the Chief Executive and the Manager. Thommo will therefore be the one who will know whether this situation is dubious or not. |

| I hope it is just training, rather than the Chester City sydrome, where Wright left because he was told to play Vaughan junior. |

Funny enough, Danny used to be on our books and then somehow, got transferred to Hull after peter taylor went there. (Feeling that may have been a favour for Big Dave).
Alas, He isnt very good. He plays as a striker but couldn't run couldn't jump and couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. Apart from that though, he's meant to be a nice bloke  |
