From what I saw I thought it was a good performance by Graham Robert's men but as for Celtic I thought they were poor.

Would expect nothing less. he deserved moe success when he was manager here, but the money wasn't there to get the Club we have today.

Celtic should have been absoloutely hammered by Clyde. The referee disallowed THREE Clyde goals and after seeing the replays I can safely say, by going on the new "player isn't offside until he becomes active" rule, all of the goals disallowed should have been given. Not only were these goals chalked off but the penalty (that Clyde also missed) saw Du Wei taken down the Clyde striker who was clean through on goal and the Chinese defender was last man but didn't even recieve a yellow card. Now as a Hearts fan I am still feeling sore from the absoloute shambles of a refereeing performance last week against us that saw him send our Full back Takis Fyssas off for a "goal scoring opportunity" tackle (that incidentally he didn't actually catch the player with) and inevitable saw our downfall as Celtic came from 2-0 down to win 3-2 in what was the biggest league game of the season.

So I think what i'm getting at is firstly Celtic should have been turned over by more goals and secondly I am a sour Jambo after last week, sorry to put you all through my ramblings.

You're most welcome, even though most of us know little about Scottish football, we all ecognise that the offside rule is being mis-interpreted widely across all levels of football and should be scrapped in favour of the old rule which at least everyone understood.

Yeah it certainly does confuse things really needlessley. I mean a player doesn't really have to actually touch the ball to interfere with the play but IMO a lot of linesmen seem to be waiting till they do actually touch the ball. Questions as to whether a player is classed as being "active" and what happens when someone becomes "active" after previously being offside make the changes to the rule really confusing and can spoil games.

Aswell as this one player from Hibernian recieved a bad injury needlessley when he tracked a player back and was injured in a tackle with him. Incidentally the player was offside but unde the new rule the linesman had to wait for the man to get to the ball.
