BBC is reporting that Sven will leave after the World Cup finals.
I don't expect him to last that long.

| I think it's unfair of what the News of the World did to him, it's not what he said but the manner in which he said it. Robson and Keegan both declared that they would terminate their job as England manager after World Cup 1990 and Euro 96 respectively and we reached the S-Finals of both competitions and hopefully Sven can do the same and I hope Sam Allardyce becomes Erikkson's replacment as England boss. |

| The NOTW is a bloody disgrace. We're 5 months away from the World Cup so the team & manager deserve our full support regardless of any personal opinions we might have. |

I agree that the NOtW is a disgrace and would add the Sun rag to the list together with a number of obvious tabloids.
I didn't read the NOtW article because I refuse to buy it but have gleaned the substance of the story from the news/Internet.
The NOtW apart, Sven is a grossly overpaid muppet IMO. Football at International and Premiership levels has lost the plot. The Bosman ruling has encouraged some top footballers to become even bigger Prima Donnas with salaries that are simply offensive (to me at least).
The bigger problem is that what Sven disclosed to the undercover reporter is almost certainly true. The game has always been corrupt but we choose to ignore it/don't reallly care and nothing will be done. Like all plagues, the corruption will only increase unless drastic and decisive action is put in place to stop it.
Start by culling the agents.

I also agree the NOtW has been well out of order on this occasion with Sven! I will not buy that rag again not that my money will make the company go into administration but if enough people do that may have to change their tactics. Maybe one of their rivals could run a campaign highlighting the effect this could have on England’s preparation for the world cup. I have even contacted the NOtW customer services to inform them of my displeasure. :x
In saying that I am disappointed with Sven in that he could be stupid enough to divulge such information of his thoughts on his players to someone he has only just met! Not at all professional!
Sven will however not be out of work for very long IMO and he will get paid an extortionate amount of money, probably by going back to Italy. :? |

| What would have happened if GJ had still been here. I wonder how long it would have been before someone claimed he was in line for the job. :) |
