A few thoughts:

1) Sodje; Did a solid job last season when we were getting the jitters. IMO this season he has been looking off the pace and TBH everytime he goes within ten feet of an opposition player in the penalty box I get butterflies in my stomach.

He is probably happy because in the twilight of his career he'll get a signing on fee, an increased salary and a cut of all those future Essex bandana sales.

2) Johnno; who can blame him for going? Doesn't feel like asset stripping really...just a great opportunity for a very honest pro.

My concern would be around the fact that he represents a key part of the "Yeovil Spirit". He's one of those players who has been here for a few years now, who plays the game in the right way and has built up an affinity with the fans.

I worry about who we'll get in to replace him and any others that go. If these "young gems" that The Webbster has mentioned previously are so good why hasn't anyone else picked them up? Or is it only The Webbster who recognises their potential? Methinks not.

And, if these potential replacements are so good...how long realistically will they be at YTFC?

3) Pablo; He was sat a couple of rows in front of me in the Yeovil College stand. He spent much of the first half snogging his girlfriend.

On reflection, can't say I blame him.

At half time he disappeared and came back with a Knorr Soup. Unfortunately I don't know what flavour it was, though I can report that Thommo was seen drinking a IgKnorr Soup...Pablo flavour.

About twenty minutes from time I looked to where Pablo had been sat...and he had gone. All I can think is that like Pavlov's Dog he had developed an automatic response... in the case going to the dressing room half way through the second half.

4) I thought Skivo was a colossus yesterday. He was magnificent at marshalling the back four especially at set pieces. At times I thought he could have been Tony Adams in disguise.

What a great post in particular the Pablo paragraph!! On the subject of Skivo being strong and marshalling the back i couldnt agree more. He as well as Scott Guyett i must say, was very vocal in motivating and praising our players yesterday when they had the ball or were challenging for it. I hope a post i read somewhere previously about him wishing to remain with us is correct as i feel he is very much the driving force on the pitch that he always has been.

Well, at this time of night, if he's got any sense he'll be in bed with his missus practicing his shooting.

And, I'll bet that's one target he never misses.

Can you get your coat please Glovemeister ;) That kind of comment is not called for.

The key thing is for Pablo to get in the box more often. *cough*
