It's started then... Got rid of some of your best players, raping your resources, and brings in his son who is useless, and was rejected by Tamworth. He claimed he wouldn't mess with team selection, and he aims for you to be in the Premiership in a few years.

He said that to us

Brentford fan, reader of your troubles.

It does appear to be going that way! As I saw it when he arrived back on the scene he had two choices, either to be the a success like he did at Southend or do as he did for you at Brentford. I can see no benefit in what he is doing now or that it is in the best interest of our club.

I think I will be reading your sites about starting a supporters trust to save our club? To premature? I think not!

It's too early to say IMO but with the current goings on and Webb's track record I'm keeping an eye open.

A few points...

1 - Bowerboy....I have previously stated that this should happen and am in the process of setting up a site for this...!

2 - I am not happy with Mr. Webb in the slightest, and before I make my next comment, please see this thread http://www.ytfcforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=182
to eliminate any doubt you may have about that.

3 - I do however think that, regardless of who the cheif exec was, that £150k for Darren Way is a reasonable offer and anybody would be struggling to decline that, especially if the player behind closed doors has expressed a desire to talk to the the bidding club when informed that a bid had been made for him. none of us will know Darrens words when told team x had made a bid.....if indeed any bid was made. the only thing i would question, is accepting the bid considering the timiing i.e. LJ leaving. if it has been accepted, one can only hope that a good calibre player has been lined up as a replacement.

NEWS Get Out What You Put In
I took this quote from the official Yeovil site!
(I know it relates to betting) However there may be an irony in that statement.
Seems to me that Webb is intent on recouping his investment by means foul or fair.
I mean what kind of a twat sells off some of our best players & replaces them wih what? sweet naff all except his son a useless weymuff reject!
Please God make me eat my words if he turns out to be OK, but me thinks we've been robbed and sorry but Mr Goddard-Watts you've sold us down the swanney. IMHO.

Let me know when you have set up the site ! I will join and fund some of it if necessary ;-) I saw and remember your post and as you are aware replied with caution! Well my caution has run out as I think that if we do nothing we will be too late to do anything to save our club  I think it is time to let Mr Webb know what we think

Who's to say that LJ and DW wouldn't have left if GJ had still been in charge and Webb had never arrived?

I agree they may well have left and to be honest we could not have stood in the way of LJ especially! 125K is a good offer what is sad to me is that he is leaving to a club in the same league. DW cost us nothing and with losing players like Efe and LJ we should have the funds available to pay a sensible wage to DW for his services? IMO we would not taking an unnecessary risk as he is definitely good enough for this level of football. Who is next and what had Webb got in mind to replace them with?

I am. They were key players to acheiving your ambitions for this season. Whether it be survival, stability, top half, play offs or promotion, I'm not sure, but I'm certain they would have helped.

I'm not saying that, John Fry never stood in anyone's way when it came to another club being interested in a player or our previous manager.

The sooner we get this *ahem* person out of our football club the better, else, for as quick as we have risen up the leagues we shall plummet faster.

So just to make this clear if David Webb happens to read this website GET OUT OF OUR FOOTBALL CLUB BEFORE YOU END UP KILLING IT!!!!!!!!

If you read John Fry's letter on ciderspace, it points out that the club was begining to run out of meomentum. GJ realised this and got out. Appointing Thommo was unambitious and problem confirmed to the players that we had not credible future plans. I believe that it was GJ who attracted some of the stars, ie Jevo, as he is a respected manager; who and what does ST offer? Consequnetly they are looking for clubs that can offer something. SPL for Lee and probably Championship for Weasel. I believe DW's arrival is irrelevant, as these players' agents have been looking for new clubs for some time.

If we want to attract we need to be more ambitious ourselves, and start by getting a manager who is known and respected.

I think we might well have lost both of them. But the changes in ownership are exacerbating the problem. IMO the biggest mistake the Board made was allowing GJ to buy three South American players and waste £53,000 in Agents fees on players that have not cut it.

I suspect it set our finances back, and Webb now has the nasty job of cleaning up after GJ scarpered off to Ashton Gate.
