Ok ive read all the comments on here tonight and feel we need to give Daniel Webb a chance, lets ignore his surname and how he has ended up here, at the end of the day he is still quite young, and we have sharpened up many a reject at this club in recent years. Just look at young Harrold at the start of the season, rejected by Brentford he has come on leaps and bounds in the few short months hes been here. Lets give Daniel a chance....ie dont boo him 30 seconds into his debut!!

Yes I am concerned about what may be going to happen at our football club, all we need to do for now is let Mr Webb know where watching him and just waiting for him to put his first foot wrong.........I dont believe he has done that just yet.

ok, I'll bite.

Harrold, rejected by Brentford - a club 4 divisions higher than the scummers - who is young, keen and willing to learn. Danny Webb, 5 clubs - all shipped him out, 2 of them when his dad was in charge / manager. his last club, he couldn't get a game in the Scummers reserves he was that bad. (Bear in mind that they rate Lee Elam as their best player) I'm struggling to see the parallells between Matty and DW junior.

A rough diamond is a rare find, yes we have had success with some players (Skivo, Weasel, Critts to name a few) however we've had our fair share of failures (Marcus Richardson ?? / Andy Turner ?? / ) with all the strikers around on a free at the moment, the best we could do was a sunday morning league player, whos's dad is the boss. If you think this is progress, I take my hat off to you. If like the majority of YTFC fans, you think it's a joke then feel free to express your opinion also.

I have no qualms with people having informed discussions and disagreements, however I'm not keen on being told to do something I trhink is wrong. Whilst DW is on the pitch, I will not abuse / boo him, however I will continue to assert my opinion that he is only here because of his dad, being paid wages that could have been used in a more constructive manner (regardless of the amount paid).

The facts of thas matter are, the strikers we bought in last year from a comparable level (keize Ibe and the other guy who's name I can't spell) were bought in on development contracts - they were let go within a year because they weren't up to it. We now have a player that is supposedly the "answer to our strikng problems" - is it a co-incendence that his dad is the boss - I doubt it.

For me we're at Defcon 2, not quite at war yet, but certainly preparing for the worst.

My post wasnt telling anybody to do anything was it? But with some of our fans still abusing Lee Johnson up to the time he left I really dont hold out much hope of some of our fans giving Webb junior a chance.

agree with bartlett boy on this one at least give the guy a chance.
Booing him before he has kicked a ball aint gonna do anyone any good even though like everyone else it seems im not overly impressed with how hes ended up here

Ok, from a UK POV lets call it Bikini Amber Special - does that help ?

I think you got the jist of the thought process.

"Lets give Daniel a chance....ie dont boo him 30 seconds into his debut!!" Sounds like you telling people what to do - i.e a chance.

All I was doing was pointing out the deficiencies in you reasoning, how you can compare Webb and Harrold is a complete mystery, they are 2 totally different players and 2 totally different cases - MH was a gamble as he hadn't been at any clubs and was young. DW is not a gamble, he has been at 5 clubs and been crap at all of them.

I will not boo him on saturday, I will never boo the team that are on the pitch, however I don't see the need to give him a chance - he's been here before and didn't win a contract, now his dad's here, so is he.

If we let all our players go to bigger clubs then young Danny boy may be one of our better players come February.

Like it or not, Desperate Dan IS a Yeovil player, Dave Webb is majority shareholder, WHN has gone, LJ (whom nobody liked 'cos he was only in the team because his dad was manager) has gone and more will go at some time.

In the meantime, I support YTFC. That includes the groundstaff, ticket office staff, manager, playing staff, shareholders etc. not sure about Fat Harry) ;)

Whatever is discussed on here, there will be a number of fans who will boo Daniel Webb as soon as he comes on the pitch.

What's going to be the issue is whether 5000 boo him or 500.

I think what worries me about the lad is he appears to have a bit of attitutude, apparently sent off for dissent in two recent previous games...not the sort of player we tend to have at Yeovil and I hope not one that will let this sort of attitude seep into the dressing room

Bookings & sendings off for dissent, no that would never happen at Yeovil.

wasn't there a rumour that DW was seen at the ground with his architect yesterday ?

As it was said, probably planning his "star signings" own dressing room so he can't influence the team.

The one thing that worries me is that what will the team make of it ? will they feel they have to pass him the ball or the owner will call them to his office to give him a dressing down ? or will they ignore him thinking the same as the majority on here and try to play with effectievly 10 men............
