With the discontinuation of the ciderspace forum, it seems to me that this and similar sites are going to be the place where we SAVE our club. Whether my fears of what has happened over the past month will bear fruition I sincerley hope not. We may be the sleepy village team playing above our station, but I enjoy it, see terrific performances and both away and home crowds are joy to be amongst.... So Green Room please continue, and if the time comes when a voice has to heard, hopefully you will be there. A few quid has been donated to your funds to help. There is no need to elaborate on the indications as to where the club is going, I am sure true supporters are already feeling a little uneasy, ..I hope I am totally wrong....

Nope I am feeling uneasy I can tell you ;-)

I do wish we had something positive to celebrate? DW Jnr was not on my list of signings  I was hoping that Skivo signing heralded new hope :-)

Now again I am not so sure :?

Don't you think it's a bit early to start saying things like "where we SAVE our club"?

Thank you very much, it will go towards the running costs of the site.

I'm thinking of writing a letter on behalf of the forum, voicing fans' worries about the club and asking David Webb for his comments in order to quote them on here.

Not sure if he would answer, or whether the club would even acknowledge it, as despite me contacting the press office about 3 times to ask various questions and introduce the site, I've not heard a thing.

Obviously I'm going to need to be tactful when I write the letter, but any suggestions of what to ask would be good.

So comments along the line off "p*ss off back to Brentford" are not welcome ?

TBH, it's not a bad idea, however as per DW request, it may be wise to address the letter to JF - (not that he'll reply, never has done on the 3 seperate occasions I have written to him)

as we all know the media dept doesn't know it's arse from it's elbow and probably sends all mail to the owners to a certain M.Glazer.

A constructive suggestion, however I thought the CCM was meant to act in this capacity ?

Darren,

If you are going to write the letter on behalf of the forum would this be the first letter to come from the site? If so I would urge extreme caution when writing it as it may give the wrong impression of what this site is about and the users are like especially if it is the first communication with the club. We all have a burning passion for this club and would follow it to the end of the earth if asked to without question.

We are IMO right to be concerned at the direction the club is going and Daniel Webb apart we would have the same concerns never mind who was in charge. I think it is the lack of comment and sharing of plans for the future that is most concerning to me anyway! On one hand he says he want JF to run things on a day to day basis but at every turn we have signs that he is fully involved in everything from contracts and who we sign! What next who plays or is he, behind the scenes already doing this by giving a contract to his son? It is not that I would expect him to put in his money (if it was his money or is he just the front man?) and not take an interest. For me any organisation that is not run by committee is a dangerous way of doing business when your decisions affect so many people.

So far I can not see one positive from him taking over the club? No money to spend on players. No contracts sorted out for the existing players. No plans to improve the ground and facilities.

I have not spoken to one fan that is optimistic about the future at the moment and I find that quite sad after such a roller coaster ride we have been on! I was cautious of DW when he came here first and started the full time revolution with his kids and thought he was wrong then. He left before IMO he could be judged and in any case we were the a conference club. My feelings is he has come back and still regards this club as a conference club that we could once again progress with kids playing week in week out. Once again I find myself not believing this is the right way of doing things. :?

But what do we know and the only balls I have are not crystal so may not be too much help?
