Whilst I will always support any player that puts on a Yeovil shirt, I cannot condone this latest signing....
This to me smacks of what the Brentford fans told us to expect, and to me sends out a clear signal of how Mr Webb intends to run our football club, unlike Brentford, we have an opportunity to speak out now.
This signing shows a complete lack of ambition....If I were Jevo or Cohen or any of the other "stars" i'd be asking myself.....do I want to sign for a club that publicly shows a lack of ambition.
Thommo; if you decided on this signing, quite simply why.....if not I think i'd be on the phone to a certain Sir GJ asking if there are any jobs going @ TBCUTR as your position has been completely undermined.
Seriously what must the other players, personally not publicly think about this signing.....
I always, without exception until now, try to see the positives in everything that the club does but surely we cannot let this continue or we will forever be saying, give him time, but when will enough be enough.....relegation, financial ruin..?
Anyway here are the songs.....
If you hate David Webb clap your hands....
If you hate David Webb clap your hands....
If you hate david Webb, hate David Webb, hate David Webb clap your hands....
If you really F*****g hate him clap your hands.....

P***off back to Brentford

| Somehow i don't think you should be saying that, he does own our club and he's the one with the money! Everyone is intitled to there own opinions but maybe that one should remain in you're head!?! |

And before anybody states we do not know the terms of the contract; it does not matter.
Whatever the contract, even if only £50 a week, it is £50 quid a week more we could use to persuade Jevo to stay or for a football league supporters bar instead of a tent, or some PR exercises in the surrounding area to boost attendances.
There has to come a point ladies and gentlemen where we stand up for our football club and not sit back and say "well he's the one with money, he owns the club" |

YTFC- sratch.
Whilst I am still of the opinion that signing Webb Jnr is not a good move for Yeovil I am not quite sure that we should be quite so quick to ask for DW's head? :? I am with you and have very little time for him and do not trust his reasons for buying our club! There is two sides to every story and as you rightly say Brentford have warned us, equally Southend still see him as a god and Webb Jnr played there. I will be at the game on Saturday and I promise that when Webb Jnr is introduced to the crowd I will not clap or boo him just give him the silent treatment and have him earn my adulation. He may prove me wrong and I hope he does but I will not hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
When this site opened (second time) I started a thread saying can I be the first to say “Webb out” I have not changed my mind on that! :x |

The songs were meant as a warning to Webb Snr that we will not stand for the Brentford treatment. After all, this is our football club.....
As said, I will support any player wearing a Yeovil shirt whilst inside a stadium supporting them...... |

Unfortunately though it isn't our football club. We support it but it belongs to the person with the largest shareholding, which in this case happens to be Dave Webb. Is this really any different to when GJ signed his son? |

"Is this really any different to when GJ signed his son?"
I do think this is different. :( LJ had played at a higher level (Brighton) than we were at the time when he signed. Jnr has failed at every club he has played for! FFS he could not even cut it at the Muff, they must be laughing at us for this signing? |

A lot different in that LJ was known to have been a decent footballer, Arsenal, Brighton etc....not rejected by Whymuff and Cambridge....
Also, we as supporters are what keeps this football club afloat, by paying our monies each week....
I don't want us to become another Brentford.....we have been warned, we have a chance to stop a repeat....
the best solution is prevention; prevention of letting it get that far ! |

| I agree that it's us supporters who keep the club afloat but that still doesn't make it ours. |

I will always support a player in a Yeovil shirt.
However, I do feel Daniel Webb is not worthy of a Yeovil shirt. There is no place for nepotism at Yeovil Town, we got away with it last time as LJ turned out to be a very good player. Daniel Webb has proved he is no good, and I doubt he will improve.
If he is in the squad on Saturday, it's proof that Steve Thompson does not manage the team - David Webb does. |

| If he is in the squad come saturday, god help YTFC. Something needs to be done quickly to prevent our beloved football club being ruined by some bloke with no interest in YTFC just ££ |

GJ was at least the manager at the time. It should be the job of the manager to select players. This signing doesn't look as though it has been made by ST. Dave Webb looks as though he is interfering and I don't think that we as supporters should stand for it. |

I feel an anti-webb supporters group coming on.....A
lready, there is so much unrest with him at the helm...
people might be against it at the moment, but I guarantee in the months to come the list will grow and grow....
As Somertonian said.....he will find other things to do on a Sat if he doesnt feel proud, we need to stop that happening, as i said above, we need to be working to increase crowds, not having the cheif exec driving people away !!
I really wish the most underated member of staff of the last few years....Mr John Fry, had been able to afford the club.... |

| It's all hype at the moment, I'm keeping my eye out and I know things have been a bit suspicious lately including Daniel Webb training with Yeovil and now signing with us but I'm prepared to give anyone who comes to our club a fair go. |
