(In my best Emlyn Hughes voice...) I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!

Seriously, I did have a feeling in my water that this was going to happen - think I even posted to this effect somewhere. I did think it odd that he was going back to Charlton to fight for a new contract when he had previously implied that he had already given up on that. Maybe he was not as happy with the post-GJ era at Yeovil or knows that he will get more bucks at TBCUTR.

I would love to have seen him here permanently but we're not too bad for centre backs (assuming Locky comes back for keeps). We were playing him (LF) out of position towards the end of his last spell with us - he wasn't really a left back was he?

I was personally sad to see him played at left back at the end of his last spell. I know he was a bit injury-prone at that time, but I feel he has tremendous promise and he'd have really come on for a spell in the centre.

Bristol City's gain is Yeovil's loss in this instance.

Johnson brought him in on loan twice and he's now done it a third time.

Fulham wasn't it? :?

I think this move could signal that Fulham have made their mind up about Liam for the end of the season and he will be in line for a contract at TBCUTR  I would have been very happy for him to sign for us but no doubt TBCUTR will pay better! I can not blame Liam for that!

But maybe just maybe he knows what us fans are like and how much esteem we held him in....

But the lure of a club that is "bigger" maybe the deciding factor.

Lets hope he chooses for footballing reasons and not financial if it comes to it.

And let's also hope that TBCUTR is playing League 2 football next season so he can really see what it's like playing for a bigger club!

It was always going to happen..... but it won't stop the BCUTR conceding goals like the one they gifted Scunny on Saturday.

Quote: › docWrite("quote") Scunthorpe were handed a fifth-minute lead when City keeper Adriano Basso's clearance was charged down by Andy Keogh, who scored into an empty net.

Just seen it on the Yorkshire League footie round-up. Basso aim's to clear a back pass from the left side of 6yd box, mis-kicks it and strikes it straight at Keogh, who gratefully flicks it into th empty net.....

I have been reading TBCUTR all this time not realising it meant "The Big Club Up The Road", until I just checked Acronyms.

I (honestly) thought it meant "Those Bristol ***** Up The Road".

I am either thick or very green.

How is Steves focus not on the ball? TBCUTR come in with an offer, Liam and Fulham accept. How can ST influence him any more than than he has?

Liam didn't play that often, this time around, and once Steve was manager he played him on the left wing. In his first 2 games, we conceded 4 at Southend and 3 at Scunny. Then when he was fit in Dec. Steve chose not to play him at Donny.

Also, it was clear we had an imbalanced squad, great lad though Liam was, we did have other Centre backs and Scott Guyett has come in and done a first class job.

Yes, ST did say he'd like to sign him in the Summer, if possible, but that was before DW arrived.
