Hello there!

I am a Hearts fan and was at Dunfermline today. Lee got a good reception from the fans when he was warming up at the start and replied with a clap. Was a shame to see him only get a few minutes but in that time he did make a good first time pass and had a shot on goal.

Most of us thought Lee should have got a bigger chance but if he did and was a bit nervous with it being his debut, he maybe would not have played as good as he could and alot of Hearts fans would go off him. Our main midfielder, Paul Hartley, (who you may have seen playing for Scotland), is soon going to pick up a ban for kicking a Celtic player so he is likely to be out for 3-4 games which is a great chance for Lee.

Have you's heard much about Hearts this season? Are we regarded as a joke club down there for sacking our manager after a good run or are we known as title contenders and most of all do you think Lee is a good enough standard for Hearts?

and lastly can Lee play on the right hand side of midfield? Our midfield is currently regarded as the best midfield in Scotland with Rudi Skacel, Paul Hartley and one of the best players I have ever seen at Hearts Julien Brellier. This may make it hard for Lee to break into the team with them there just now and new signings coming in but our right hand side is a bit weak and that good be a good position for Lee.

Best of luck with the rest of your season

Steve.

Hearts certainly aren't a joke for me but then again I am Scottish.

Depends what you want on the right hand side. The one thing Lee does lack is genuine pace so he won't get up and down the wing in the traditional way.

He does float out to the right but really hasn't been anything else but a central midfielder for us. Pretty much everything went through Lee with him picking the ball up deep.

I'm sure he will do well in Scotland given the chance .

Hiya & welcome.

Thanks for that bit of info on Jonno. We will follow his progress with Hearts closely. Please feel free to drop on here to let us know how he is doing.

I can't speak for others but, I regard Hearts as one of the big Scottish clubs. To me, you are a club that couls easily survive in the Championship without too much trouble and possibly the Prem.

Title contenders you undoubtedly are but, it's always going to be a struggle to get past the big two and that's a shame. Still, you do have a money backer which will help. It would be nice to see you win the SPL. A different name would be good for the game.

The last time I was in Edinburgh was on the last day of the commonwealth games in 86. Thought it was a beutiful city then and, no doubt still is. Went to see your ground but, could not get in.

Anyway, best of luck & go win the championship so that Lee can have another championship meddle in his collection.

Thanks for the positive replies guys

Will keep you's informed with how Lee is doing with us!

I am not sure if you's heard what happened 2 weeks past when we played Celtic but to be honest, we got well and truly cheated out of it by the SFA again.

Up here, there tends to be a strong bias towards the Old Firm and you can ask any fan from any team (outside the Old Firm) and they will tell you this. When we played Celtic we were 2-0 up going along great, then due to a slight error we lost a goal so it was 2-1 but we were still looking very good to go on for the win. Then the usual "Old Firm Rules" kicked in. Celtic player was running away from goal (towards the corner flag!) Hearts player goes to tackle and the Celtic player flings himself down easily. The usual Scottish ref, does not even think about it, and pulls out the red card straight away to Takis Fyssas, our left back, who is 1 of our best players! (Hearts appealed against his 1 match ban and the SFA even said it wasn’t a sending off!)

If that wasn't bad enough! few minutes later, yet another dive! gives Celtic a free kick (and the linesman was standing 3 yards away from the dive) and still gave it. Celtic crossed the ball in and scored. Then exactly the same happened a few minutes later and before we knew it we were 3-2 down thanks to, yet again, the "Old Firm Rules"

That may have sounded off topic to Lee Johnson but if Hearts had went on to win the match, we would currently be sitting 1 point behind Celtic and with a great chance of Lee picking up, yet another League title!

When we watch MOTD up here with the English refs, they are always talking to the players, laughing and joking with them and there seems to little stupid decisions and doesn't seem to be any bias in the english game.

If only we had as good refs as them, we would maybe see a team outside the Old Firm lift the league title :(

We really appreciate our referees in England and the equally professional assistant referees. Rarely do they get it wrong. We love 'em.

Well if you think your refs are bad you's should try supporting a non-old firm team up here! Constant battling all the time

If there was a poll I believe we'd have more Celtic followers at Yeovil.

Me? I'm with you!

How easy is it to get tickets? It's really easy to fly up from Bristol and probably quicker to get to see Hearts play than to travel to MK, for instance.. Wouldn't mind a weekend up there if Lee was getting a game

Well depends on what game really. Our stadium holds only 18000 but when we are playing the old firm or hibs we could probably sell out about 26000+. Seatbooker on the hearts website (www.heartsfc.co.uk) is pretty good. If you go on that on the day the tickets go on sale you will have a good chance of getting a good ticket.

We have selt out every home game so far this season in the league but if you go on seat booker on the day the tickets go on sale, you should get 1 no bother ;)

As I was saying about the bias to the old firm, it yet again happened today and Motherwell were on the receiving end.

Motherwell should have had a stone wall penalty after Barry Ferguson handle the ball in the area and wasn't giving. If it was at the other end it would have been giving  It is really getting tiring now :x
