| She seems to be in very hot water at the moment with these allegations of Registered Sex Offenders being accepted for jobs in schools. Won't be suprised if she resigns. |

She's a 'New' Labour minister. They don't resign straight away.
Give it about 2 weeks, she'll resign and be on the backbenches. Then after a year, she'll be promoted to another department. Then we'll see the same thing happen again in about 2 years.
It happened to Peter Mandelson, and David Blunkett. |

Isn't her excuse that they've only been 'cautioned' and are therefore ok to teach....(I'm not defending her, btw)
Did anyone see question time last night? |

Didn't see question time, I think there were a couple of things on Sky I was catching up on.
That was her excuse, and I do agree with her - up to a point. It would depend on the circumstances of the case. For instance, if the police are happy that the person in question isn't a danger to children then it shouldn't be a problem.
However, it's a chance to have a pop at the government, so I'll take it! |

Her excuse is it wasn't her but a predecessor... think she will get through but I do dislike this Gov't and its attitude.... reeks of corruption, esp. the Blunkett affair, having to resign twice in a year.
Also how is it that Blunkett and Cherie Blair both knew that biotechnology company was a good investment.... and that its stock would climb so fast... |

I always wondered how the Blairs were able to buy those two flats in Bristol using their blind trust. I thought the idea of a blind trust was that you didn't know what you were investing in!
And there's the Hunduja brothers, the Cheriegate affair, the fact that Cherie keeps getting the chance to work on the biggest cases in the UK and Europe, EDS getting every government contract despite massive failures in every previous one..... |

Meh - I really dislike this government - I'll have a pop at them given the chance.
Blunketts resignations, pushing bills through that would probably have never been allowed under the normal legislature process....And now this....
Sad thing is - I REALLY don't want a Tory government either.
I think Camerons a bit shady. |

She walks like a man? Definitely.
She certainly talks and sounds like a man...put it like this; if you woke up in bed with your arm around her, I bet you'd gnaw your arm off!
She is a man. She is the political equivalent of one of those Czech "women" athletes of the Seventies that had a bigger crotch bulge than most of the blokes on this site! |

Just had a friend spit her tea out when I sang this during the news:
(To the tune of Goldfinger)
Ruth Kelly, She's a man! A man with a man-ish voice!
And I couldn't think of anything else.... |

Ewww. That's not a nice thing to look at.
Looks like a Bulldog chewing a wasp.
Or she was cycling behind a road gritter.
Or went ram raiding on a moped.
I'm sure there's a lot more but it's late..... |
