Just about to leave the for the eight hour round trip.
Slade playing plan ‘B’ again tonight, by all accounts. Therefore probably the same formation as against Portsmouth, Slade playing with wing-backs, Harrold up front and Gray playing around the arc in the hole. Cohen on the right and Poole/Davis on the left, positioned to cut in and protect the wing-back and pick up second phase balls and attack from midfield. The two central midfield players will be swapping roles (a Slade trait) one protecting and holding the space left in the centre as the centre backs move across to guard the space left by either Amankwaah or Jones. The other moving into the space of Gray to act as the play maker. It’s the defensive tasks that let the lads down. |
