| No sour grapes here mate - he refused to agree a new contract which was offered over 3 months ago. He mucked us about too much and is an appalling tactician. Grimsby were very lucky to finish 4th last season - alot of the game we won were lucky wins due to the 'hoof it and hope' approach. You're welcome to him. I see. You were 'lucky' to finish 4th.
Are you saying you would have been promoted without him at the helm?
Really not interested in other comments about him. We've got him, and we can't change that. Fry obviously felt he was the best/cheapest candidate, and he's not been wrong too many times before. |

I am behind the new manager 100% but I have to say the style of play that all of the Grimsby fans talk about (they can not all be wrong) will be very hard to take at Huish Park. :(
Of course we may well forgive him the style but only if we are wining. :) His press conferences so far have been very good, so I guess he can talk the talk but can he walk the walk?
We will have to wait and see for the next three years I guess! :wink: |

Although I respect the Mariner's opinion's, Slade is at a different club now. A different set of players that he hasn't had to buy on the cheap. Maybe he will play hoofball, maybe he won't. They'll still get my backing.
Don't forget, we played an awful lot of hoofball while Jevo was injured last season. |
