Yeovil Town FC have signed 18 year-old midfielder Stephen Maher from Eircom League side Dublin City. Maher was recently involved in the Irish U-18 squad.

Seems like we're investing for the future but I'd like us to sign a player or two with experience but welcome anyway!!! :) |

Wow, its like London busses isn't it... you have no signings for ages and then 2 come along in one day!!!
He does sound promising so lets hope he does well for us. |

yeah he does sound promising. deffinatly one for the future!!
lets not give the boy a hard time though because he will never be able to fill the boots of our midfielders which left last season (Lee Johnson & Darren Way) but then no one ever will :D!!!
he sound like he has had experience & he knows how things work in football because he has been in a youth set up for 10years.
i think this signing just proves that the board are trying to build a young squad. but i think we do need some player with expericence in there as well yes we have people like my Nathan Jones & Terry Skiverton but i think we also need new fresh blood within the squad!!
maybe tomorrow after the new manager has been confirmed we will know more (although come on lets face it we all know Slade as got the job!!) about who is staying eg. Terry, Miles, Lindegard, Guyett & who else we could bring in. |
