Italy comes to the World Cup as one of the favorite contenders to win this tournament; the Italian team brings big figures from the European soccer scene. Names like Francesco Totti, Alberto Gilardino and Andrea Pirlo can scare any soccer team on the planet.

This will be their fourteenth appearance and the Italians hope they can repeat what they achieved in 1934, 1938 and 1982 when the won the World Cup.

Italy’s first game will be against Ghana one of Africa’s best soccer teams especially in the youth categories of the World Cup.

Many experts think Italy is the clear favorite to win this match but the Italian squad needs to be very careful with the speed and the power of the African team.

Complete Squad
Buffon G, Camoranesi D, Peruzzi, Barone M, Amelia G, Zambrotta M, Zaccardo D, Pirlo M, Cannavaro D, Del Piero S, Barzagli D, Toni S, Nesta D, Totti S, Oddo D, Gilardino S, Materazzi D, Iaquinta S, Grosso M, Inzaghi M, De Rossi M, Perrotta S, Gattuso M.

Ghana’s first appearance in the World Cup is something they will remember forever and they want it to be a good memory. As one of the bests Nations out of Africa most teams take extra precautions when facing African teams due to what has happened in other editions when there have been big surprises.

Ghana is almost ready to begin the competition and they want to have every single detail ready for the start of the tournament. Coach Dujkovic said: "Every match is important and with the World Cup so close it is important to get the sharpness in the team. I'm 80 per cent sure of the players who I want for the first game against Italy."

With that thought in mind we can assure you this game will be one of the most exciting in the first round. If you like Soccer and sports betting don’t miss the opportunity to bet on the most exciting soccer competition in the world.
